Ação comunitária do Brazil /RJ has launched in collaboration with the UNDP special unit for South-South Cooperation (SSC) an initiative of creating strong cultural and economical exchanges between Brazil and two East African countries Rwanda and Kenya.
This exchange comes in light of experimenting and exploring the opportunities that could result in a concrete realization of a creative economy.
The World Culture Forum of Rio which will take place on November 24, 25 and 26 2006 will be the staring point of that exchange in the area of Visual Arts, Batik and Choreography.
During 15 Days ,3 members from Rwanda and 2 members from Kenya will participate in an artistic exchange with their Brazilian partners exhibiting Batik Arts , Visual Arts, and performing together various dances and songs.
Our Goals
.Short-Term
1-Building strong cultural exchanges.
2-Creating products and services that value and promote culture.
3-Exploring the possibilities of selling the goods and services on local and international markets in a context of fair trade.
5-Implementing long term relationship between southern countries in light of the UNDP special unit for South-South cooperation.
6-Improving the quality of life of many citizens that live in developing countries.
7-Preserve and protect cultural heritage of developing countries.
Long – Terms
-Find alternatives way of fighting poverty using and stimulating the creativity of people in various areas such as music, dance, art and many more. Moreover, we intent to build bridges between southern countries and put in place mechanisms that will enable these exchanges to flourish within the creative economy and fair trade framework.
-Create a strong network using latest technologies, like the internet that will enable developing countries to expose and sell products and services to a wider market.
-Developing a macro approach in fighting poverty, diseases and human rights abuses.
-Implementing strong mechanism such as the Intellectual Property Law in order to protect and preserve the creativity of people who do not have the means and the capabilities of protecting their products and services in a competitive market. |
